I can use tactical camera in Dragon Age Inquisition just fine. Combat is honestly not as bad for me as exploration. I just can't click with the gameplay for some reason. Baldur's Gate 1, Neverwinter Nights, Pillars of Eternity, Diablo III, etc. But I've bounced off every isometric RPG I've tried. This said, i came out with 2 different stats and. 3) expertise is good for everyone while eventually evasion help with not get killed on fireball and similar and the magical ambush is very thematic. 2) canning action work almost as well as mobile feat and help with booming blade on the extra attack. I love games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. 1) bladesinger need some malee damage boost. a thing? Can you play the whole game like that? Do we know the extent of that feature? It's hard to find info on this game sometimes because a lot of the answers I find are from 2020.īut I watched some of the footage that has been released recently and I noticed some shots of characters running around with the camera behind their back instead of isometric. It's just that the combat has so many unnecessary issues due to Larian wanting to change key aspects of the system without considering balance implications. The quests, reactivity, and role playing are genuinely fantastic. It's a shame too because I really do like a lot of what's here in BG3. For example, the multiclassing spell progression changes that they've talked about are so obviously broken that even many homebrew defenders can recognize how problematic these changes are going to be. A Paladin 11/Arcane Trickster 9 build Paladin 10/Eldritch Knight 10 build, both with low intelligence, have a similar ability at mid-level. I love Larian's games, but after DOS 1/2 and the messy homebrew they've introduced here I'm convinced that they're just terrible at balancing their games. "Beware of adding anything to your game that allows a character to concentrate on more than one effect at a time, use more than one reaction or bonus action per round, or attune to more than three magic items at a time." - 5e DMG What's notable is that the one BA per round rule is something that the designers of 5e specifically warn you against homebrewing in the DMG because of the huge effects it would have on balance. A lot of these abilities, spells, and rules would work perfectly in a video game (and many of them have before), but for some reason Larian decided to mess around with things. The strangest thing is that there's no reason why they actually needed to make these changes.
